Central European University Press

Following the founding of the Central European University by George Soros, Central European University Press was established in 1993. Its publishing program focuses on issues of Central and Eastern Europe, the past and present history, society, culture and economy of the countries of the former Soviet Union and its neighbors. The subject area of CEU Press includes the political philosophy and practices of open society, history, legal studies, nationalism, sociology, human rights, conflict resolution, open media, gender studies, Jewish studies, economics, medieval studies, literature, and international relations.
